Master Data Acquisition Manager (MDAM)
In environments where MDAM is deployed as a Master Data Management tool – i.e. where data structures already exist – a “clean slate” implementation of Master Data Elements is not necessarily required. Processes can be deployed where data could be imported from an existing ERP, restructured, enhanced and exported back to the ERP again.
Why Many ERP Implementations Fail
Many ERP implementations fail to deliver results expected from it by business, primarily due to the fact that the data within the system is not quite up to standard. Data deficiencies exist because of any one or any combination of the following reasons:
-
The basic data elements were never implemented properly and/or completely
-
It was not implemented with strategic company goals in mind
-
The process through which it should be maintained and managed is just too complex from a systems (ERP) point of view. (The referential integrity constraints of ERP systems do not allow for the easy restructuring of the Master Data, but does ensure the integrity of the data once correctly structured).
Solution Feature
-
Easy to use with clear visibility over all hierarchical structures and related data elements
-
Create multiple specific structures from a single generic structure
-
Productivity enhancement tools
-
Import Data from multiple sources
-
Upload Final Clean and Approved Structures to the ERP
-
Use available data and clarify and identify missing data elements
-
Powerful and accurate search and item identification engine
Structure Viewing
Cast a bird’s eye view over structures and their relationships to other data elements, or drill down and view details of single structures and identify missing elements. MDAM Is designed to give you the visibility that you need to ensure consistency, uniformity and complete and accurate data.
ERP Integration
MDAM can be implemented as a stand alone module or it can be fully integrated to any ERP such as SAP, IFS, MIMS, Maximo through standard customisable interface software
Search Engine
A powerful feature rich search engine is included to allow users to identify parts, materials, Bill of Materials, etc. in the database
